My drabble was published here.

His status read, “Time to shut the door when conversations hang in air failing to elicit even a monosyllable.” She sent him a message asking if it was meant for her. He replied quickly. “No no,” he assured her. “Just a general observation.” Her instincts told her something else. A couple of days later she sent a message asking him about his health and telling him something she had heard and thought would be interesting for him, and sure enough, there wasn’t even a monosyllable reply.
